I especially love the atmosphere, the food and the service.

Tonight I had a great experience, a lovely couple gave us the privilege of sharing a table. This was after a long day. A very long day with travel back from DC to OC, with delays, car troubles (yes I said troubles since two cars were out of commission when i came back to town).

So to the two lovely regulars at Takaya i say thank you! You made my day. You made us feel like old friends getting together for dinner.

Wishing you all the best!

I’d you get a chance, stop by and check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

Great Cast Iron Recipe. https://tech-no.org/?p=1415 Mon, 28 Nov 2016 18:38:34 +0000 http://tech-no.104.210.61.21.xip.io/?p=1415 Made this dish a while back and it was so great, I love the taste of simple ingredients. I never post recipe’s here, mainly since this is a technology blog. But for this one I can make an exception….

One Pot Pasta with Sausage, Tomatoes, and Burrata

Texas vacation… https://tech-no.org/?p=790 Mon, 19 Dec 2011 22:30:49 +0000 http://tech-no.104.210.61.21.xip.io/?p=790 It has been awhile since i had a real Vacation. This christmas we are spending time with family in the dallas fort worth area. We drove here straight , only stopping for fuel and food. Total drive time was around 23 hours. It wasnt too hard since we decided to leave early and switch drivers ever fillup. My first night out we ate at Babe’s. if you havent been there, you should try the fried chicken.. Im guessing they use lard instead of oil. It tastes magical.

Since the there are a couple of ipad’s here i have had a chance to play with digital physician and i think the mobile version works pretty seamlessly, the added animations on the apple platform just make the experence seem cooler. I still like my kindle since it is smaller, but the keyboard is more usable. Hopefully the update for the kindle fixes the keyboard.

The kids are having a blast with theyre cousins. I am really glad they have a chance to see them. Hopefully we can visit on a more regular basis.

I am looking forward to going skeet shooting and eating a ton of great food.

Scientists develop new 3D chocolate printer! https://tech-no.org/?p=406 Wed, 06 Jul 2011 15:50:24 +0000 http://tech-no.104.210.61.21.xip.io/?p=406 Similar to 3D printers used in prototyping that use layers of resin, this printer uses chocolate instead. The result is precise edible designs made of Chocolate!!!

Obviously retailers would love to buy these and make all sorts of custom chocolates. Think of the possibilities! forget simple designs and words, how about faces, animals, places etc.

here are a few pics of the initial chocolates made from this printer

Read the story on BBC News here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14030720

for more information on 3D printers, this is an interesting writeup on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D_printing

This is similar to a story that came out a few months ago, but in that case the “3d printer” was more of a chocolate cnc machine, carving the chocolate from a slab. you can read the story here: http://thefutureis3d.com/node/85
