Facebook will launch a new video chat product, powered by Skype, that works in browser. It is not clear if this will require skype to be installed on the users pc, or it will competely work standalone in the browser, but one thing is clear, the feature will be popular, and this new feature will possibly increase Skype’s user base as well if you consider the fact that Facebook has over 700 million users. to put this in perspective, skyper has around 170 million users currently.
I’m sure there are some happy people at Microsoft, since they recently are in the process of acquiring Skype.
